Hello dear Steemians,

Today I wanted to share with you my last painting that I finished today. It was my plan to do that painting for long time ago but I was a bit hesitating now I thought I have to do it because I just do not want to have it in my “to do” bucket.

First of all I wanted to take you back in my childhood and to share that sweet time with you.

In the time of my childhood few decades ago there were no Internet, no cable or private television, actually television was running morning few hours and then break till 6 pm till 11 pm and then again break till morning 7 or 8 Am.

As to us children we had only on weekend some interesting adventure movie and that was one of them.

“Scarlett Sails”

“Scarlett Sails” that was produced in 1961 produced by Mosfilm, one of the popular film production agencies in ex- Soviet Union and directed by Alexandr Ptushko. It is based on Alexander Grin’s 1923 adventure novel of the same name. The story is a romantic fantasy and is described as a “fairy tale” about the little girl who when she was little heard the story about a prince who one day will come over to her with his Sailing boat and will span up Scarlett colors Sails therefore she will recognize him. Also that he will come specially for her.

As many girls even when she was already grown up but she was waiting for her prince and looking at the horizon. With the time people around her started to make jokes with her and laughing about her. But one day one wealthy merchant son was in that village and heard that story in pub, he saw that girl and fell in love with her. That is why he ordered Scarlett sails for his ship and came up in the morning when she was on her routing walk at the coast. That day they met and of course the story has happy end and found her prince.

When I told my hubby this story he just laughed saying typical girls believe in such impossible stories. I would just say, that is typical male’s reaction 🙂
