Hello dear Steemians,
I am really enjoying my weekend, we have nice sunny day and blue sky. First of all we have had a nice walk outside, just to charge a bit of cold winter air, at the coast is low tide so that we could walk on wet sand. The sun is low so it will get dark after 4 o’clock in the afternoon.
Of course being at home and been off my painting for few days I decided to get back with acrylic painting.
One of my favourite topic is women and using acrylic paints this is something that helps me to play with colors. I usually try to use different colours to create skin tones and depending on the light source one side is light and another is dark.
Today I have used:
A cardboard as background, I like it because you can do multiple layers and the surface is very stable.
Acrylic paints: I usually use primary colors and mix the rest from them. Of course white and black is something that you must have just to create slightly lighter and darker tones.
Colors:
- Primary Cyan
- Cadmium Red
- Cadmium Yellow
- Burnt Sienna
- Titanium White
- Black
So here it is my painting and I hope you like it.
My step-by-step process:
