Winner of Traditional Art Contest: “Action Character”

First place go to @yanes94 and 20 Steem

Primacolour pencil work

This post has everything, first of all a dramatic picture of a warrior Alice, perfectly chosen color contrast red and black. Between them gentle subtle colour of face. The post itself is build up like if Carmen would be talking us through her working process, the thoughts that she had, why she decided so. What kind of difficulties she had and even the details of her work such as the “The weapons had designs of skulls”, that I actually have not noticed initially. All pencil works take tremendous time and she managed to finished it within 17 hours. Thank you for your creation, well deserved!

Second place goes to @pipoune and 15 Steem

Pastel work

When we saw this picture, the first thing attracted our attention was that magic circle that Dr. Strange creates to manipulate the time. Again the whole post was like a presentation, we like to know why people decided to do this or that picture. We glad that you decided to do Benedict Cumberbatch! It is wonderful to see how your picture was going from simple sketch 2-dimensional into 3 dimensional portrait. The tip to find the Steem symbol was great and that is perfectly incorporated into the Magic circle. Thank you for wonderful post and your beautiful work.

Third place goes to @sweettais and 13 Steem

Coloured pencil work

That spiderman with a little cute bird by @sweettais as usually in her all works we can how so many different colours can match together and give such beautiful contrast, red is not only red, there are yellow, orange, purple and tinge of green all in balanced way that she masterfully showed in her work.

Next three works are honorable mentions:

@madlenfox-4 Steem Watercolour

This work also gives us a pick behind the preparation scene, the interesting and innovative was that the character was not just taken as it is but interpreted in Madlen’s own way. Beautifully done the hands and the cryoball.

@theonlyway-4 Steem Watercolour

Iconic scene from well know James Bond movie. Nice watercolor portrait, soft light colors applied starting from light to dark values. Nicely done.

@artmedina-4 Steem Coloured pencils and watercolour

It was a difficult character as there were two different face features as one was changed by the transparence of the sword. Despite of that very well done.
